We landed in Yangon where we immediately went to our hotel and settled in. In the hotel we had dinner at a buffet and settled in to our small beds.
The next day we went to a market and I got Aladdin pants and my mom got a top made. We also went to KFC for a cold beverage and I won a free drink. We went around the market and got to see a dancing dragon.
The next day we went to Bagan where we caught up with some SASers and went to a temple on Mt. Popa where I got attacked by 2 monkeys. We saw a golden Buddha and fed some evil animal ancestors. We then drive back to the hotel, and had to pull over twice because dad was sick L At the hotel, me and mom then had a nice dinner while Dad laid in bed.
The next morning, we went hot air ballooning and mom got swarmed by people trying to sell her stuff. During the hot air balloon ride we saw temples, shrines, and landmarks all over. It was amazing. Then, while dad was sick in bed, me and mom drove E-Bikes around and saw some temples and saw Old Bagan. It is definitely called old for a reason; it’s like going to 1981. After our long day we flew back to Yangon.
The next day we went to the market and mom, dad, and myself got matching Jade rings. I also got a baby Longyi (a ‘’skirt’’ that all the men wear). The women selling them in the market kept calling the ones to fit kids ‘baby’ longyis, which my mom thought was hilarious. She really wanted me to get one so I did. After the market we went to the ship.
Next stop: India.
